Marc Hohmann is a Creative Director specializing in brand strategy, visual identity, and holistic brand experiences. As a leader and mentor, he has worked closely with today’s top prolific agencies and CEO’s as well as collaborated with some of the most acclaimed names in tech, industrial, fashion, consumer and transportation businesses.
After being mentored by design legends Louis Danziger and Simon Johnston at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, Marc Hohmann started Kon/struktur, a design and branding firm in New York. In the late 1990’s Marc was Creative Director at Swatch NYC where he personally worked with artists such as David Bowie, Peter Gabriel and Nam June Paik as well as Alessandro Mendini, Daniel Weil and Annie Leibowitz.
With his own agency, Marc created brand identities for Yohji Yamamoto in Japan and for Zero Maria Cornejo’s label and store in NYC. He also designed the highly influential symbol for Amtrak’s Acela bullet train, numerous watches for Swatch and the current logo for the City of London.
Marc joined Lippincott in NYC in 2012 as a Partner and Creative Director and created the award winning logo and visual system for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and the Stanley and Black+Decker brands.
In 2015 he joined Sterling Brands as Managing Director of Strategy and Design of the New York, London and Chicago offices where he successfully invented Panorama, a branding philosophy based on creating brand stories through a fusion of tech, strategy, design, and experiences. Through Panorama, Marc directed projects for Disney, Target, GE, Gillette, AT&T, and Starbucks.
In his constant quest to combine fast forward brand thinking and the influences of cutting-edge technology on product and experience, Marc moved to Silicon Valley in late 2017 where he led the brand team at Box working closely with CEO Aaron Levie. Between 2020 and 2023, he led the rebrand of the data integration platform Talend, helped to rethink Google’s navigation app Waze, and co-created Salesloft’s brand current strategy.
